Designed with professionals in mind, the transportable vmax303 and vmax403 incorporate time-saving enhancements that get users on the road more quickly. MSRP for the vmax303 (3.5-inch screen) is $129.00; suggested retail for the vmax403 (4.3-inch screen) is $149.00.

Direct Map Access – If it’s a navigation system, why do you need to select ‘Navigate’ from a menu? The vmax units eliminate this step by going straight to navigation mode when they are powered up. Simply turn them on and you’re ready to navigate.

En Route Memory – A feature found primarily on installed navigation systems, the En Route Memory feature saves your route information when the vmax unit is turned off, so that you are ready to continue on your way once it is powered back on.

Lane Assistance – No more guessing at directional signs. A time-saving feature, especially when traveling in an unknown city or heading into a gnarled freeway interchange, Lane Assistance tells you exactly where you need to be to take the right route to your destination.

Natural-Sounding Text-to-Speech – The vmax unit’s built-in, 1.5-watt speaker is loud enough to overcome road noise, so you can hear clear, spoken street names and directions, spoken in English, Spanish or French.

The vmax303 and vmax403 feature an internal, high-sensitivity GPS antenna and integrated Samsung central processor that help the units quickly determine their location when turned on. Using industry leading NAVTEQ mapping data, the system guides users to their destination using overhead view or street-level view maps on the ClearView™ TFT touch screen. Maps are preloaded into memory, along with millions of Points of Interest (POIs)—complete with phone numbers—to save users time when searching for key destinations.

Externally, the vmax units include a microSD card slot for software and map updates, as well as storing music, images or text files to play back using the units’ built-in text viewer, MP3 player, photo and movie viewers. A 3.5mm headset jack is also included to use headphones or route audio to the auxiliary input of a car’s audio system. A mini-USB plug enables the user to charge the internal battery, which is rated at 5 hours of continuous use.

The vmax303 and vmax403 come complete with a detachable suction window mount, dash mount and cigarette lighter adapter, and carry a 1-year warranty and complimentary software updates when available.
